Trigeminal neuralgia hurts, and hurts severely. Commonly referred to as “TN” and sometimes as “tic doloreaux.” TN is a sharp, stabbing, electric shock like pain. It typically is on one side of the face. It may involve pain anywhere on the side of the face, from the forehead or temple, down to the mouth, teeth, jaw or chin. Medication such as carbamazepine (marketed under the brand names Tegretol or Carbatrol) helps reduce or control pain for many patients.
Gamma Knife treatment for trigeminal neuralgia is an effective option for patients who do not have good control of pain with medication such as carbamazepine.

Acoustic neuroma is a small benign tumor situated in the nerve conducting signals for hearing and balance. It may often be referred to as a vestibular schwannoma.
Patients may have difficulty with hearing, balance, or weakness in the face as a result of the tumor. Sometimes, patients will have no symptoms at all if the tumor was detected at the time of a scan performed for another reason.
We offer CyberKnife and Gamma Knife treatment for acoustic neuroma. Both treatments are highly effective and non-invasive.

Essential Tremor is a condition which involves tremor, mostly of the hands and arms but sometimes involving the head, neck voice, or legs. Patients with essential tremor experience uncontrolled tremulous movement of the hands and arms when they try to do many daily tasks typically taken for granted.
Essential tremor affects every part of a person's life, making it difficult to dress, speak, eat, drink, cook or write.

Spine tumors present a treatment challenge given their proximity to the spinal cord - an aspect of one's body critical for daily life. The CyberKnife precisely targets the tumor’s exact location - using this method, it is possible to deliver a high dose of radiation to the tumor while avoiding damage to the surrounding sensitive spinal cord and other critical structures.
The CyberKnife System provides patients with a noninvasive treatment option for spinal tumors. Unlike conventional radiation therapy, during which moderate doses of radiation are delivered over weeks and months, the CyberKnife System can treat a spine tumor in one to five days depending on a patient's specific scenario.
Any brain tumor, whether it has originated in the brain or spread to the brain, can press on sensitive areas of the brain or skull, or on nerves, or veins and arteries carrying blood to and from the brain.
Patients with brain tumors may experience headaches, vision, balance and hearing problems, and they can disrupt other functions of the body.
Because we offer both CyberKnife and Gamma Knife, our radiation oncologists and neurosurgeons are able to select the best leading-edge technology that will produce the very best possible outcomes. Both treatments are highly effective and non-invasive.

A common benign brain tumor is the meningioma, a noncancerous tumor that arises from the abnormal growth of the cells that form the outer covering of the brain, known as the meninges. Think of the meninges as the peel over an orange.
Meningiomas may cause seizures, headaches, muscle weakness, vision difficulty, hearing loss or other symptoms.
We offer CyberKnife and Gamma Knife treatment for meningiomas. Both treatments are highly effective and non-invasive.

In our practice, our goal is to provide our patients help and input on designing an overall strategy for their cancer.
We see many patients with complex situations of recurrent cancers in areas previously treated with radiation. We have helped many patients find a path forward that that may not have been thought of by other physicians.

CyberKnife has revolutionized how we treat prostate cancer. This non-surgical treatment approach tracks the prostate in real time. Radiation is delivered with extreme accuracy to the prostate in only 5 treatments.
The CyberKnife system is a non-invasive treatment for cancerous and non-cancerous tumors and other conditions where radiation therapy is indicated. It uses advanced technologies to track tumors anywhere in the body. The CyberKnife uses real-time image guidance and a robot to deliver dose from thousands of beam angles. The robot moves and bends around the patient, adjusting to patient and tumor movement allowing for maximizing dose to the tumor while minimizing dose to surrounding healthy tissue.
